In combination with ancestor spirits, Kuy believe in other mother nature spirits like that of the monitor lizard (takuat) which they consider to generally be image of fertility. The Kuy execute ceremonies to propitiate the takuat spirit and request fertility from nature. They would also take the tail from the lizard to use in divination ceremonies.
